Meet Alexa

Alexa is a certified classical Pilates teacher who has been working in the health and wellness industry for over 19 years. She started out as a Personal Trainer, Yoga teacher and Group Fitness instructor before being introduced to Pilates by a colleague. From her very first session she was hooked! All the missing pieces she had not been able to find with other forms of movement finally came together. Joint issues that she had struggled with for years just went away. Her body finally moved as a whole with more awareness. She decided to become a certified Pilates teacher so that she could share her passion for and the benefits of Pilates with others. Alexa believes that every body is unique and strives to focus on the individuals needs and what works best for them. Her goal is to help as many people as possible become the healthiest version of themselves through Pilates.

Alexa started her platform ‘Low Impact Fit’, as a way to connect with others who felt lost in the traditional fitness world of high impact exercise. She is passionate about sharing with other ways you can stay fit and be your best self through Pilates. She is especially passionate about inviting black and brown women to whom Pilates can often feel exclusive.

Originally from Cameroon, Alexa now lives in Atlanta with her husband and two sons.  Apart from doing Pilates she loves cooking healthy foods and hiking and completing home improvement projects.
